On the occasion of the resumption of non-essential activities, after fifteen days of stoppage, the Government has introduced, through Order SND / 340/2020 of April 12, the nuance that certain activities related to intervention works in existing buildings are suspended, in which there is a risk of contagion by COVID-19 for people not related to said activity. The Executive understands that the concentration of people in buildings in which certain intervention works are being carried out in existing buildings, in which the workers of the work must share certain common spaces, with residents or other users, implies an increased risk of contagion by COVID-19, being necessary, to guarantee the containment of the pandemic, proceed to suspend the execution of certain works. The objective for establishing the suspension of these activities is to avoid the risk of spreading and contagion of COVID-19 in a context of necessary caution.

The limitation for the activity applies to all kinds of work that involves intervention in an existing building, regardless of its scope, as well as the movement of its workers or materials, which cannot be completely independent of the spaces in which it is find, temporarily or permanently, those other people. Said restriction shall not apply to those works in which said interference does not occur and the works to be carried out may be divided or separated within the property to which they affect, as well as those whose purpose is to carry out urgent repairs of facilities, breakdowns or maintenance tasks. surveillance in the property itself. This order will remain in force until the end of the alarm period and its extensions, or until there are circumstances that justify the approval of a new order that modifies the terms of this. The works referred to in the previous section are excepted from this suspension in which, due to circumstances of sectorization of the property, no interference occurs with people not related to the activity of the work.
